 Rita Ora introduces Tamanna to give speech at Wembley Arena!

The Royals meet Tamanna at #HeadsTogether campaign launch!

Tamanna has been chosen to represent Youngminds for Heads Together, a mental health campaign led by The Royal Foundation in partnership with 7 charities: YoungMinds, Best Beginnings, CALM – The Campaign Against Living Miserably, Contact (a military mental health coalition), Place2Be, The Mix, and Mind. The aim of the campaign is to challenge mental health stigma and change the national conversation on mental wellbeing. Tamanna had the opportunity to take part in the campaign video, now online.

 

 

 

 

The campaign, has been chosen as the 2017 Virgin Money London Marathon Charity of the Year. It is led by The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, and brings together charities which cover a wide range of mental health issues close to the Royal Highnesses passions. Tamanna was joined onstage by Rita Ora to speak at Wembley Arena. The campaigner was introduced to an audience of over 12,500 people amongst millions of watching online to give a speech alongside the singer for WE Day UK on March 9.

WE Day is a series of free educational events for young people to celebrate how they can change the world. Tamanna spoke about her experiences of racism, bullying, Islamophobia whilst growing up and the effect that it had on mental health.

 

"Speaking out, sharing experiences and campaigning for change inspires and motivates others to share their stories, go out and take action in their own communities, to stand up for what they believe in and for those vulnerable.Rita Ora gave a speech about her experiences of being a refugee in Kosovo, where she was forced to flee with her family 24 years ago.
